How we verify
Every report is checked by a person on our team before it is published. Here are the steps in detail, and the rules we apply to every report without exception.
Last updated: 5 Oct 2026
1. Automatic checks on submit
- The description must be at least 100 characters, and not a repeated letter or word.
- A simple check question and a minimum time to fill in the form, to stop bots.
- A daily limit on reports from the same device.
- Automatic refusal of a repeat report about the same place from the same sender, or of text copied word for word from an earlier report.
- Hidden data and GPS location are stripped from every photo and video.
2. The mandatory checklist
No one on the team can publish a report before ticking all six items. The system itself blocks publishing if one is missing:
- The evidence shows the problem itself, not a random or internet photo.
- The place is identified by name and address or a map link, and matches the evidence.
- It is about a service or place, not an attack on a person.
- No insults, incitement, political or sectarian content, and faces and names are hidden.
- Not a duplicate or copy, and no sign it comes from a competitor.
- It happened within about 3 months, or the problem is ongoing.
3. Comparison with earlier reports
For each report, the team sees other reports about the same place, and other reports from the same sender (through the encrypted fingerprint, without knowing who they are). That is how organised smear campaigns and duplicates are caught.
4. Editing before publishing
The team removes names of people and private details from the description, and picks which photos and videos are shown. Photos with clear faces are not published. The original description stays with the admins only.
5. Checking business responses
A response requires a Telegram username for verification and goes through review like a report. If the business claims a fix, we ask for proof, and even with proof the report is only marked solved after further confirmation.
6. When a report becomes “solved”
- The reporter confirms from their private link that the problem is solved.
- Or an official body confirms the fix, and we name it.
- Or our team accepts the proof of the fix and 14 days pass with no objection from the reporter, and it is marked solved automatically.
7. After it is solved
- A solved report stays published as a success story, with a before and after photo when available.
- Six months after the fix, the original problem photos are hidden, search engines are asked to drop the page, and it leaves the lists. A business that fixed things should not stay tied to the problem forever.
- Unless the problem came back: a report whose problem returned stays fully visible for 2 years after it is solved, because the health and wellbeing of our brothers and sisters comes first.
- All of this happens automatically, with no manual step.
If we get it wrong
We can make mistakes. If you see an error in a published report, use the response form on its page. We correct or remove it, and record the change in its public timeline.
