Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions we get most.
Last updated: 5 Oct 2026
Is the platform free?
Yes, completely free for citizens and for businesses. There is no fee to respond or to have a report corrected.
Will the business know who reported?
No. We do not ask for your name, we never share contact details, and location data is stripped from photos and video automatically. Just avoid writing details in the description that point to you.
How long does review take?
Reports are reviewed in order. A report with clear evidence and an identifiable place goes faster. Follow its status from the private link you get after submitting.
I lost my private link. What now?
Open the “Track your report” page and enter the report number and the 6-digit secret code you got after submitting. If you lost those too, there is no way to recover them, because we do not know who you are. Write them down or take a screenshot.
Why must the description be at least 100 characters?
A short line like “the restaurant is dirty” is not enough to verify. We need to know exactly what you saw and when, so we can match it to the evidence and give the business a chance to fix the right problem.
I have no photo. Can I still report?
You can, but reports without evidence are rarely accepted for publication. If the problem is ongoing, go back, take a photo, and send a new report.
Why was my report rejected?
The reason is shown on your private page. Common reasons: no evidence, no identifiable place, accusations against named people, political or sectarian content, or a duplicate.
I own a place that was reported. What should I do?
Go to the “For businesses” page, search for your place, and write a response. If you fixed the problem, attach photos of the fix. After review your response appears next to the report, and it becomes a success story for you.
Who decides a problem is solved?
Never the business alone. A report is marked solved when the reporter confirms, an official body confirms, or our team verifies after giving the reporter time to dispute. We always show which one.
What happens to a report once it is solved?
It stays published as a success story with before and after photos. After 6 months the original problem photos are hidden and it drops out of search engines and lists, while the story of the fix stays. If the problem comes back before then, the reporter can reopen it from their private link or with the report number and secret code, and the report then stays fully visible for 2 years after it is solved again, because we take the health and wellbeing of our brothers and sisters very seriously.
Are you a government body?
No. Shakwa963 is an independent project, not affiliated with any authority. That said, we urge municipalities, health directorates, consumer protection and all official bodies to follow the published reports and act on them, and we are open to cooperation and partnership with anyone working to serve people and fix problems faster. To get in touch, message us on Telegram at @ShakwaSyBot. When an official body confirms a fix, we name it.
Can I send more than one report?
Of course, about different problems. There is a daily limit per device to prevent abuse, and a repeat report about the same place is refused automatically.
